Zenith Defense is developed and published by Contorta Development. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Zenith Defense on Android (through Google Play) and in a web browser at zenithdefense.contorta.dev. You can play without an account. The game is supported by advertising and offers optional purchases. We do not sell your personal information for money, but the advertising, analytics, and payment partners described below do receive information to provide their services. The app requires a network connection.
Local Game Data
Progress, settings, earned currencies, purchase entitlements, purchase transaction identifiers, advertising counters, and test state are stored on your device (in the app on Android, in your browser's storage on the web). There is no cloud backup or cross-device synchronization of game progress. Clearing storage, resetting progress, or uninstalling may permanently delete this data. Android automatic backup is disabled.
Analytics (Android)
The Android app includes the Google Firebase Analytics SDK. It automatically collects a Firebase installation identifier, your device's advertising ID, device model, operating-system version, app version, language and region, coarse location derived from IP address, and in-app events such as screen views, session starts, and crashes. Google processes this on our behalf; we use it to understand how the game is used, prioritize fixes, and improve stability and balance. You can reset or limit the advertising ID in your Android settings.
Advertising
Zenith Defense shows ads. Ad networks may collect or receive your IP address, device and browser information, advertising identifiers or cookies, and information about the ads you view or interact with, to deliver, limit the frequency of, measure, personalize, and secure advertising.
- Android — Google AdMob shows rewarded ads (watch an ad to earn a Star) and ads between games. Where required, Google's consent message asks for your choices before ads are requested.
- Web — Google AdSense shows rewarded ads and ad breaks using cookies and similar technologies. Where required, Google shows a consent message.
- Web — Adsterra shows a banner on the main menu and a full-screen ad once per day at start-up. Adsterra operates under its own privacy policy and uses cookies and similar technologies. Google's consent message does not apply to Adsterra.
Owners of Remove Ads do not see banner, between-game, or start-up ads and collect their Star reward without watching an ad. You can reset or limit the advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and manage cookies in your browser settings.
Purchases and Payments
Optional purchases are Remove Ads (one-time) and Star packs (consumable virtual currency). Stars are a virtual currency with no cash value; they cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Android: purchases use Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment; we do not receive your card number. We receive confirmation of the purchase (product, transaction identifier, time) and store it on your device so it can be unlocked, restored, and credited only once.
- Web: purchases use Stripe Checkout. You enter payment details on Stripe's page, not ours, and we do not receive your card number. We receive the checkout session identifier, product, payment status, and your account identifier, and keep a purchase record so Remove Ads can be unlocked and Stars credited.
Google Play purchases are subject to Google Play's refund policies. For web purchases, contact us at the address below. Transaction records may be retained for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes.
Account (Web Purchases Only)
You do not need an account to play. To buy on the web version you sign in with an email address and password or with your Google account. Sign-in is provided by our hosting and authentication provider, Base44, which stores your credentials and account details. We use the account only to attach web purchases to you and restore them when you sign in; it does not back up or synchronize game progress. Android purchases are restored through Google Play and need no Zenith Defense account.
Optional Diagnostics
You may allow the app to keep a small rolling log of crashes and technical errors on your device. These local diagnostic logs are separate from Firebase Analytics and are never sent automatically. You can review and send a prepared report through your email app from Settings. Turning diagnostics off stops local collection and erases stored reports.
Voluntary Email
The optional closed-testing link opens your email application with a prepared message. Zenith Defense does not send the email or read your email account. If you send it, Contorta Development receives the information you choose to provide and uses it to administer testing, communicate with you, investigate problems, and improve the game. Positive ratings or reviews are never required for testing access or benefits.
Retention and Deletion
Local game data stays on your device until you reset progress, clear storage, or uninstall. Firebase Analytics data is retained according to our Firebase configuration and Google's retention controls. Web account details and purchase records are kept while your account is active and as needed to provide the purchases you made, and longer where accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations require. Testing emails and feedback are kept only as reasonably necessary for the testing program, correspondence, security, and legal obligations.
Account and Data Deletion
Deletion instructions and the request mechanism are available at zenithdefense.contorta.dev/delete-account. A verified request covers your web account, web purchase records we control (except where retention is required), testing applications, feedback, and diagnostic reports you emailed. It does not delete information independently controlled by Google, Stripe, Adsterra, or your email provider, or records Google Play must retain.
Children
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app shows advertising, offers purchases, uses analytics, and collects an advertising ID, it should not be used by children without a parent or legal guardian, who should also manage any closed-testing application on their behalf.
