This policy explains what information Arbitrage Calculator handles, why, and the choices you have. It covers both the Android app and the website at arbitragecalculator.contorta.dev. Arbitrage Calculator is developed by Mankar Studios. Questions: contact@contorta.dev.
The short version
- Your odds, stakes, and saved calculations stay on your device. We never receive them.
- No account is required to use the calculator.
- The Android app shows ads through Google AdMob; the website shows ads through an advertising partner (currently Adsterra). Both use an advertising identifier or cookies.
- Crash and diagnostic reporting is off unless you turn it on.
- You can change your advertising choices, clear your data, or delete your account at any time.
What we handle and why
Calculations and preferences
Odds, stakes, fees, the odds format you pick, your appearance setting, and your saved calculation history are stored only on your device (app storage or browser local storage). They are not transmitted to us or to any server. Clearing the app's data, clearing your browser storage, or uninstalling removes them.
Optional account
You can create an account to sign in. Authentication is provided by Base44, which stores your email address and a login identifier. On Android you may also save a device credential (a passkey-style key) so you can sign back in without re-entering your password; it is removed when you sign out or delete your account.
Feedback
When you use “Send Feedback”, your email app opens with a pre-filled message that includes your operating system version, device model, and the installed app version and build, so we can troubleshoot. You choose whether to send it, and you can delete that text first.
Crash and diagnostic reports (optional)
Only if you opt in — through the prompt in the Android app, or the “Share crash reports” switch in Settings — the app may send a technical report when something goes wrong. A report can contain an error message and stack trace, the screen where the error happened, your operating system, device model, and app version and build. It does not contain your odds, stakes, calculation history, email address, advertising identifier, or account identity. Reports are stored through Base44 and are accessible only to the developer. You can turn this off at any time in Settings; turning it off also revokes the native reporting permission.
Advertising
Android app: ads are served by Google AdMob. Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform shows a consent form before ads load, and AdMob may use your device advertising identifier. Use “Privacy choices” in Settings to review or change this. Purchasing “Remove Ads” (billed through Google Play) stops all ads in the app.
Website: ads are currently served by Adsterra. Like most advertising networks, Adsterra and its partners may set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser to serve ads and measure performance. We do not operate a cookie-consent banner on the website; if you would rather not receive cookies from advertising partners, block or clear them in your browser's privacy settings. This section is updated if the advertising partner changes.
Purchases
The one-time “Remove Ads” purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation that the purchase is active; we do not receive or store your payment details.
Who processes data for us
- Base44 — website hosting, account authentication, and storage of optional diagnostic reports.
- Google — AdMob advertising and its consent tool in the Android app, and Google Play Billing. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Adsterra — advertising on the website.
- Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery for the website.
Retention
On-device data stays until you clear it or uninstall. Optional diagnostic reports are kept while they are useful for fixing problems and then deleted; you can ask us to delete reports sooner. Account data is deleted when you delete your account.
Your choices and rights
- Clear your saved calculations from the history screen in the app.
- Turn crash and diagnostic reporting off in Settings.
- Change or withdraw advertising consent in the Android app: Settings → Privacy choices. On the website, block or clear advertising cookies in your browser's privacy settings.
- Remove ads in the Android app with the one-time purchase.
- Delete your account in the app: Settings → Delete Account.
- To request access to, or deletion of, information we hold about you, email contact@contorta.dev. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
